Saudi Prince Turki al-Faisal talked about recent unrest in the Arab world, and Israel-Palestinian relations. In his remarks he said the right choice was made in the succession process for the heir to the Saudi throne, referring to Interior Minister Prince Fayed becoming crown prince after the death of his predecessor. He also talked about the political situation in the Middle East, calling on the U.S. to support Palestinian statehood as well as a U.N. Security Council resolution supporting Iraq.
