Toby Trister Gati talked about Vice President Cheney’s visit this week to Georgia and other former Eurasia states and the State Department’s announcement of $1 billion in aid for Georgia. She responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. Ms. Gati is an expert on Russia and Eurasian States. She formerly served as President Clinton’s special assistant and senior director for Russia, Ukraine, and the Eurasian States at the National Security Council. She is currently a senior international adviser at the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer, & Feld. close
