Nine public policy institutes cosponsored a conference on U.S. fiscal policy. Following several speeches, two panels discussed the issue and responded to questions from the audience. Senators McCain and Lieberman also answered audience questions. Speakers decried the lack of fiscal responsibility in government, and presented alternatives for balancing the federal budget.
