After the release of a report on U.S. endangered rivers, the participants talked about water quality and endangered species of fish in U.S. rivers. Ms. Wodder recommended changes that can be made to save the fish, particularly in the Snake River. A map of endangered rivers was shown. Mr. DeGennaro explained how taxpayers have subsidized the destruction of the Snake River. Rep. Blumenauer said that the past approaches to the problem have not worked and he suggested possible solutions. They took questions from reporters. close
