James Glassman talked about, among other topics, a recent report by the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy that criticizes the State Department’s public diplomacy capabilities, the role and responsibility of the State Department’s office of public diplomacy, and a Pew Global Attitudes Project report released last month that found some positive signs for U.S. image abroad. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. In a recent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, Mr. Glassman wrote about how the U.S. can win the war on terror by winning the war of ideas. close
