Defense and State Department officials testified about fiscal year 2006 budget requests for funding the Army’s program for destroying U.S. stockpiles of lethal chemical agents and munitions, known as the Chemical Demilitarization Program. They also testified about the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) treaty enacted in April 1994 outlawing production, stockpiling and use of chemical weapons. close
