NASA Administrator Charles Bolton and a member of the the NASA safety advisory board testified about the fiscal year 2011 NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) budget. Questioning focused on plans for a manned mission to an asteroid and eventual manned mission to Mars, the termination of Project Constellations, and the Ares rocket program, and safety issues. Senator Orrin Hatch appeared as a witness to speak against President Obama’s decision to end Project Constellation and the Ares rocket program. close
