Tonya Bolden talked about her book for middle-school children, FDR’s Alphabet Soup: New Deal America 1932-1939 (Knopf Books for Young Readers, 2010). Ms. Bolden’s book examines President Franklin Roosevelt’s first one hundred days in office and examines many specifics of New Deal legislation. She responded to questions from members of the audience at the seventh annual Roosevelt Reading Festival. It was held by the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in the Henry A. Wallace Visitor and Education Center in Hyde Park, New York.
