Supreme Court Justice Kennedy spoke at the 11th Circuit Judicial Conference in Asheville, NC, the theme of which was “The Bench and the Bar: Working for the Administration of Justice.” He spoke on the role of the Constitution in guarding the freedom of Americans since the American Revolution. He argued about the meaning of revolution, the creation of the system of government in the U.S. and the development of democracy in Eastern Europe. He also spoke about the application of democratic principles to specific court cases. close
