Dore Gold, who was Israel’s ambassador to the UN from 1997 to 1999, and was foreign policy adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, is currently president of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. His books include Hatred’s Kingdom: How Saudi Arabia Supports the New Global Terrorism and Fight for Jerusalem: Radical Islam, the West, and the Future of the Holy City.

Dore Gold talked about his book The Rise of Nuclear Iran: How Tehran Defies the West (Regnery Press; August 24, 2009). Former Israeli Ambassador Gold talked about the threat posed by a future nuclear Iran. Former Ambassaor Gold, who believes that Iran will not be stopped by Western diplomats offering promises of aid or threats of sanctions, argued that the West should take strong actions to stop Iran from getting the bomb. He responded to questions from members of the audience. Mr. Phillips moderated.
