Former Senator Fred Harris (D-OK) talked by remote video from Detroit about the findings of the Kerner Commission Report about the race riots in Detroit forty years ago, and examined what changes have occurred in race relations since its release in March, 1968. One of the last two surviving members of the original commission, he also discussed the hopes and expectations for new leaders on the subject of race relations.
