Governor Larry Hogan (R-MD) held a news conference on the unfolding situation in Baltimore. Violence erupted the previous afternoon following the funeral of Freddie Gray, who died after sustaining a spinal cord injury while in police custody. Governor Hogan discussed cooperation among city, state, and federal agencies to both prevent further rioting and assist those whose businesses and homes were damaged. He also said that Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ) had offered 150 New Jersey state troopers to assist. close
