Reverend Rick Warren spoke to the Muslim Public Affairs Council. In his remarks he defended his invitation to deliver the invocation at the inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama. He also spoke about finding common ground in areas of disagreement and briefly addressed the controversy surrounding his selection as inauguration speaker saying, “Let me just get this over very quickly. I love Muslims. And for the media’s purpose, I happen to love gays and straights.”
