Assistant Secretary Frazer spoke to reporters on Mrs. Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s trip to Africa. She also spoke about other African developments including the election of Africa’s first female president in Liberia, as well as HIV treatment in Nigeria. Following her remarks, Assistant Secretary Frazer responded to questions and comments from the reporters. Among the topics she addressed were Chinese oil investment in Africa and the transition in Liberia from war to peace.
