A panel of National Book Critics Circle members discussed how they selected books to review and the audience for which they write. They discussed how book reviews influence book sales, if there is a formula for creating a best-selling book, and what role the reviewer has in helping a book achieve that status. Scott Veale moderated the discussion. The panelists answered questions from members of the audience. This event was part of an all-day celebration of the 70th anniversary of the New York Times bestseller list held at Bryant Park in New York City.
