Legal scholars talked about property rights decisions during the 2011-12 Supreme Court term, focusing on Sackett v. EPA. In the case the Sackett family planned to build a house on land they purchased in Idaho. They received an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) notice that saying the property was subject to the Clean Water Act and that they had illegally placed fill material on their land. The panelists argued against government agencies and EPA policies.
