Subcommittee Chairman Rick Lazio, R-New York oversaw this hearing on Public Housing and Regulation Reform. Committee members heard testimony from Housing & Urban Secretary Henry Cisneros on the Housing Act of 1995. This Act would deregulate public housing and rent supplement programs. Federal housing programs currently operate under legislation first enacted in 1937. This was the third in a series of hearings on this legislation. close
