The Poynter Institute for Media Studies held a forum, “Politics and Religion: Getting It Right in 2012,” on the role in religion in election politics. The program began with a presentation of voter poll results on topics such as atheism, Mormonism, and extra-marital affairs. Panelists talked about the role religious issues might play in the 2012 presidential election. After the discussion they answered questions from audience members. In the second discussion panelists discussed voter biases toward evangelical Christians and Mormons. close
