As part of a project sponsored by C-SPAN Television Networks and Time Warner Cable to encourage dialog between students and national figures, California Republican Assembly Leader McCarthy spoke to approximately 30 students from 12th grade advanced placement government classes about his life and career in politics, as well as the value of public service and civic participation. Following his remarks he answered questions from the students. close
