Representative Martin Frost (D-TX) spoke to reporters about how redistricting following the 2000 Census would affect the Democratic Party. He said that the process had allowed both parties to “break even” despite predictions that the Republicans would gain districts. He also briefly reviewed the regional changes in districts in various parts of the nation. Following his remarks he answered questions from the reporters. close
