Residents and officials from Orleans Parish spoke to a video journalist about conditions in the parish and recovery efforts since Hurricane Katrina. In interviews conducted in early August, 2006, nearly one year after the hurricane’s landfall on the Gulf Coast, they talked about the status of recovery and reconstruction in the region, economic conditions, personal and professional experiences, and efforts by both residents and various agencies over the past year.
