Mr. Barron moderated a discussion on the topic, “Surviving with Grace: A Discussion on Rebuilding New Orleans.” The panelists examined the challenges and possibilities of rebuilding New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. They also talked about their books on the topic. After their presentations they answered audience members' questions.

Thomas Campanella is the author of The Resilient City: How Modern Cities Recover from Disaster, published by Oxford University Press. Craig Colten is the author of An Unnatural Metropolis: Wresting New Orleans from Nature, published by Louisiana State University Press. Emily Talen is the author of New Urbanism and American Planning: The Conflict of Cultures, published by Routledge.
