President Obama spoke about immigration at the National Council of La Raza annual conference. In his remarks he asked for La Raza’s support and called on Hispanic activists to build a national movement pushing for immigration reform. He reiterated his support to change U.S. immigration laws and the Dream Act, a bill that gives conditional permanent residency to illegal alien students who came to the U.S. as minors with their parents.
