Arlene Violet talked about Rhode Island’s mob history as well as mob don Raymond Patriarca, his rise to becoming a crime boss, his multiple arrests, his death and the role organized crime plays in contemporary Rhode Island and Providence. She co-authored The Mob and Me: Wiseguys and the Witness Protection Program with John Partington, who created the witness protection program. In 2011 she wrote a musical about the Rhode Island mob called The Family.
