In an interview held in his historic office, Dr. LeClerc talked about the Humanities and Social Sciences Library of the New York Public Library and displayed a number of rare books. He described the New York Public Library system’s history and its mission for the present and future. The Humanities and Social Sciences library contains over 99 million manuscripts, 17 million books, and about 400,000 photographic prints. The New York Public Library system consists of 85 Branches. close
