Dean Alice Bullock of the Howard University Law School, moderated this discussion among legal experts on race relations. They examined the progress of the civil rights movement and the challenges of unifying an increasingly racially diverse society in the 21st century. They discussed how the nation could move beyond the language of affirmative action, black versus white conflict and other ideas to create educational, governmental and corporate institutions which reflect and value diversity. They also took questions from the audience. This was part of a week-long series of race town hall meetings on U.S. college campuses. close
