As part of a symposium entitled, “The New World Order: The Role of the Media in the United States and the United Kingdom,” the panelists discussed editorial policies, freedom of the press in non-democratic countries, privacy v. public knowledge, the power of the Internet, and the pressure to make profits. Following their prepared statements, they took questions from the audience.
