Following opening remarks by Mr. Van Dusen and Mr. Diamond, a panel of experts talked about the status of Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Topics included whether the United Nations should continue nuclear suspension negotiations with Iran, and European Union policy. Mr. Albright talked about technical nuclear development items such as gas centrifuges for enriching uranium and dismantling nuclear development equipment. Mr. Sokolski talked about the safety of Iran’s light water nuclear reactor. Professor Meshkati and Mr. Chubin commented on the previous presentations and talked about nuclear accidents. Then the participants answered audience members' questions.
