Telephone lines were open for comments on the question “Do you think the repealed policy of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ will change the military?”

Manu Raju talked by telephone about the latest developments in the 111st Congress as the lame-duck session nears its end. Topics included the deal struck between President Obama and congressional Republican leaders on tax cuts and unemployment benefits, the spending bill, the repeal of the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy on gays and lesbians, and Senate ratification of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty.

C-SPAN Radio’s Nancy Calo previewed topics for Sunday morning news shows at the end of the program. close
