Former Deputy National Economic Advisor Gene Sperling talked about his book, The Pro-Growth Progressive: An Economic Strategy for Shared Prosperity, published by Simon and Schuster. In it, Mr. Sperling made the case that Democrats need to establish a plan that promotes growth while encouraging a robust middle-class with opportunity for improvement. He wrote that both major political parties are focused only on a segment of the economic arena and are avoiding or missing crucial elements necessary for successful economic reconstruction.
