Mr. Lockhart and Mr. Carney talked about the relationship between the president and the press. Among the topics they addressed were televised coverage of government press briefings, the role of the media and the presidential press secretary, the relationship between the press and the Bush administration, and their experiences in the White House. They also responded to questions from the students.
