President Bush spoke in his weekly radio address about the confirmation process for U.S. Supreme Court nominee Judge Samuel A. Alito, Jr. He listed qualifications of Judge Alito and said senators should have an up-or-down vote on a nominee who “understands that the role of a judge is to strictly interpret the law.”
