President Obama held his second presidential news conference during prime time in the East Room of the White House. In opening remarks he outlined his administration’s approach to economic stimulus policy, the federal budget, fiscal regulation, and long-term economic growth. He then answered questions on a number of topics including the economy, efforts to assist Mexico in combatting drug cartels, international monetary policy, tax policy, stem cell research, and the Middle East peace process. close
