President Clinton and Vice President Gore met with a delegation of U.S. mayors to solicit their support for his economic recovery package. Following the meeting, the president, vice president, and a group of mayors appeared together on stage to make statements in support of President Clinton’s economic recovery plan. Following an introduction by Vice President Gore, several mayors endorsed the economic plan. Then, President Clinton made a statement and proceeded to answer questions from reporters about the situation in Bosnia and the World Trade Center bombing in New York City. close
