Former President George W. Bush spoke at a naturalization ceremony in Dallas. In his remarks, he said that the U.S. is a nation of immigrants and that the tradition must be upheld. He also stated that laws governing the immigration system were not working and that he hoped Congress could reach a positive resolution on immigration reform.

This ceremony was sponsored by the George W. Bush Institute as part of a conference, “What Immigrants Contribute: A Special Event on Immigration, Texas and Economic Growth.” close
