The World Bank released a report on the extent of poverty in East Asia and India. Gautam Kaji presented the report and said East Asia and India count for almost half of the developing world’s poor. Michael Walton and Zoubida Allaoua presented many of the statistics of the report and commented on their meaning. Following the presentation, the panelists took questions from the press. close
