The participants examined current and proposed federal policies on minorities and cancer. They also answered questions from the audience. The 5th Biennial Symposium on Minorities, the Medically Underserved and Cancer, held in the Dirksen Auditorium in Washington, D.C., was sponsored by the newly formed Intercultural Cancer Council. Cancer survivors spoke on the need for more inclusion in decision making for cancer treatment. Advocates for the medically underserved spoke on the need for better treatment options as well. close
