Ben Bernanke testified on the U.S. economic outlook for the year and the future of economic growth. In his remarks he said that the domestic economy would grow modestly despite higher oil prices and turbulence in Europe. He also said that Congress should aim to reduce the deficit over the next 10 to 15 years to reach a point where revenues cover all costs except interest payments. close
