Panelists talked about U.S. foreign policy in North Africa and the Middle East following several popular uprisings, sometimes referred to as the “Arab Spring.” Among the topics they addressed were the Obama administration’s reaction to the political unrest, long-term democratic prospects for those countries currently experiencing change, and the potential impact of the democratic movements on the Middle East peace process.
