The vice presidential candidates met in Danville, Kentucky for their only debate. In this version, C-SPAN showed the two candidates in separate video windows throughout the debate to enable viewers to see each candidate and their reactions at all times. There was a single moderator who questioned the candidates in turn with two minutes to answer and two minutes for rebuttal.
