Sen. Mitchell, majority leader in the Senate, discussed the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas, the abortion “gag rule,” and other legislative issues concerning Title X legislation in an address to the 75th Anniversary meeting of the Planned Parenthood Federation. Sen. Mitchell urged the repeal of legislation preventing physicians in health care facilities supported by federal funds from mentioning abortion as an alternative for pregnant women.
