Mr. Viorst and Professor Quandt discussed “Can There Be Peace in the Middle East?” in a forum of the 2006 Virginia Festival of the Book in the McIntire Room of the Central Jefferson-Madison Regional Library. The discussion focused on the current war in Iraq.

Mr. Viorst is the author of Storm from the East: The Struggle Between the Arab World and the Christian West, published by Modern Lbrary. Professor Quandt is the author of Peace Process: American Diplomacy and the Arab-Israeli Conflict Since 1967, published by Brookings Institution Press. They also responded to questions from members of the audience. close
