Gov. Bill Clinton (D-AR) addressed a convention of the Wisconsin Democratic Party in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Gov. Clinton has been considered a possible candidate for the 1992 Democratic presidential nomination. In his remarks in Milwaukee, Gov. Clinton focused on the problems facing Americans at home, including health insurance, education, and the economy. He outlined a plan for Democrats to gain the presidency, which included laying out a clear plan for the future that helps real people. He also recommended avoiding the creation of a second Republican party, a reference to the Democratic Leadership Coalition that recently met in Cleveland to advance a conservative agenda designed to woo voters in 1992. close
