In the second of two hearings, The Senate Energy & Natural Resources Subcommittee chaired by Senator Craig Thomas, R-Wyoming, heard testimony about the future of the National Parks system. Roger Kennedy, National Park Service Director, commented on many of the comments at the first hearing on issues such as programs, maintenance and fees. He stressed that the National Park needs adequate funding to maintain facilities and deal with increasing numbers of visitors. close
