Author David Maraniss talked about his book, Barack Obama: The Story, a biography of our 44th president. Author Michael Grunwald talked about his book, The New New Deal: The Hidden Story of Change in the Obama Era, in which he argues that the stimulus package stopped a terrifying economic free-fall, while quietly jump-starting the president’s agenda for energy, education reform, health care, taxation and the economy in the long term. Author Neil Barofsky talked about his book, Bailout: An Inside Account of How Washington Abandoned Main Street While Rescuing Wall Street, in which he offered an indictment of the past two administrations and their mismanagement of the $700 billion in taxpayer relief that never quite made it to the taxpayers.
