The task force heard testimony from representatives of rural and Native American rights groups on maintaining quality health care in rural areas while holding down health care costs. The panel was the third during the first public hearing of the task force, which is expected to submit recommendations to Congress in May. Representatives of the task force attending the hearing included new Attorney General Janet Reno.
