Deputy Attorney General James Comey talked about Jose Padilla. Padilla, an American citizen, allegedly admitted that he had trained in al-Qaida camps, met with al-Qaida leaders, and planned terrorist attacks against the United States. The deputy attorney general also addressed the question of whether or not U.S. citizens, such as Padilla, could be held indefinitely as enemy combatants.
