Committee members debated the rule for House debate on the resolution on ethics reform. They heard testimony from the co-chairs of the House Ethics Reform Task Force among others. The reforms would provide outside staff for the ethics committee, increase confidentiality of the meetings and more direct filing of complaints. The committee passed a closed rule with only a few, specific amendments to be offered.
