Thomas P.M. Barnett was interviewed about his book Blueprint for Action: A Future Worth Creating, published by Putnam. The book is his strategic roadmap for U.S. foreign policy and a plan to strengthen national security. He said that the United States should never go to war unless they were prepared to win the peace. Mr. Barnett spoke about globalization and its effect on securing a global economy. He also discussed how democracy is a process where freedom and liberty is the end product. He was interviewed by Representative Feeney.
Thomas P.M. Barnett is the author of The Pentagon’s New Map: War and Peace in the Twenty-First Century. He is the senior managing director of Enterra Solutions, which provides advanced information integration and security in the private and federal sectors. He advises the office of the Secretary of Defense, Special Operations Command, and the Joint Forces Command.
Rep. Tom Feeney, a Republican, represents the 24th District of Florida. In Congress, Rep. Feeney serves on the Financial Services Committee and the Judiciary Committee in the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security. He also serves on the Science Committee that oversees NASA, and serves as a Deputy Whip.
