Katrina Heron, Martha Baer, and Evan Ratliff talked about their book Safe: The Race to Protect Ourselves in a Newly Dangerous World, published by HarperCollins, at the Center for Engineered Innovation in Mountain View, California. The authors were joined by Daniel Prieto and William Crowell to discuss the challenges society faced regarding protection from terrorist threats and other safety concerns. The panelists examined technologically sophisticated methods of security and profile several of the problem solvers across the country.
